DSRA President informed CEC about the hearing at Sindh Water Commission headed by Honorable Justice (R) Muslim Hani. DSRA was summoned by Sindh Water Commission as a petitioner through its President in the court of law. The representative of DHA, CBC and M.D KW&SB were present. DSRA was represented by President DSRA Mr. Sharfuddin Memon through their attorney & Head of Legal Sub-Committee Advocate Nasir Jahangir Riffat Shaikh. Vice President Mrs. Tahira Athar Nasim and Honorary General Secretary, Ar. Mansoor I. Usmani were also present. During the proceedings, Justice Muslim Hani formed a high profile committee headed by Deputy Commissioner with SSP of the area,
representative of KW&SB, DHA, CBC& President DSRA as the members, to investigate, monitor water supply pipeline from Chakra-Goth and any illegal connections on therein. The Court ordered M.D KW&SB to increase the water supply by 1 MGD by 17th December 2018. And by February 2019. KW&SB should stabilize water supply up to 07 MGD per day. The Court also decided to install flow meters gradually on the system. President DSRA informed CEC we need up water supply up to 14 MGD for DHA to meet the increase in demand with new construction coming up.
